You can help raise funds to ship care packages to Marines in combat zones just by getting a little creative!
We have two unique fundraising stories to share with you to help give you an idea of what others have done in the past.
Dress Down Day for Marines
In November, 2009, the NIA Group, LLC in Paramus, New Jersey held a dress down day at the office. Employees who donated $5.00 for the Care Package Project™ were allowed to dress down for the day; an initiative that yielded $350.00 in support of our deployed Marines.
What's especially unique about this office, and likely the reason this outreach program was chosen for a dress down day, is the fact that an Iraq war veteran who received a care package through the Care Package Project™ now works there.
See the letter the NIA Group sent Marine Parents below.
Marshfield, Massachusetts Congregation
The Care Package Project™ received a $300.00 check from the United Church of Christ in Marshfield, Massachusetts in June, 2009.
The letter they sent explained that the donation represented $1.00 for each of the members in the congregation. At $1.00 per member, this congregation sent Marine Parents the funds to ship nearly 30 care packages to Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Get creative at your church or office. Conduct your own Care Package Project™ fundraiser and help us ship a piece of home and a reminder of appreciation to our Marines overseas, two things we believe they should never go without during their time of service.
