We have schools, organizations, clubs, churches, businesses and individuals all over the United States that help us with The Care Package Project™ by holding fundraisers, care package drives, and spreading the word about Supporting Our Troops.

We highlight each of these organizations here, so you can learn more about the good works that others are doing to support the troops, and perhaps hook up with someone holding an event in your community.

After the father returned from Vietnam, he lived the rest of his life without ever receiving a single thank you - except from Kelly! Kelly continues to teach her Father's lessons to herown kids, stating that we can never show enough appreciation for our service men and women and vets alike. Kelly writes to MarineParents: "It would be an honor and a privilege to hold a Care Package Drive, and I personally will do everything in my power to make as loud of a noise as I can in hopes that this drive will be a great success for our Troops!"

Doreen is having a picnic because her son is home on leave from the Marines where she is providing the food and drinks. At the picnic she is asking people to donate items for the troops in Afghanistan. She will then box everything up and send it to the Care Package Project's warehouse. Thank you Doreen for thinking of the troops that are so far away from their families while you gather with your family and friends to be with your son while he is home. In May 2012, Doreen was able to send a box filled with crackers, baggies, meds, drink mixes, and notepads. Thank again you Doreen!

Lili Solorio and Cherrie Palacio plan on having a fundraiser and content drive that will be held at El Modena HS in Orange. They will have two teams to help this be very successful. Team one will receive food donations, box and load. Team 2 will receive cash donations only. They will put up posters a week prior to our event, 6/2. Lili said there was between 500-600 people who attended her son's funeral services on 3/29, so, they will be expecting to have a huge turnout at their fundraiser. They hope to plan a fundraiser/drive 3 - 4 a year to help support all our military men and women. The employees at Siemens Healthcare DX are planning on holding an event where they will request certain items from each department. As a result, in June 2012, the were able to send an extra large box on a pallet filled books, CD's, blank cards, ziplock bags, jerky, ramen noodles, nuts, granola bars, magazines, drink mixes, chapstick, soap, meds, cookies, pop tarts, toothpaste/toothbrushes, wipes, cereal, canned food, tuna, candy, deodorant, dried fruit, foot powder, q-tips, shampoo/conditioner and razors. Michael has made Pocket Flag for his Eagle Project. He has between 250 and 300 of these min pocket flags that are folded and enclosed in a small plastic baggie with a printed card from Project Pocket Flag. He received a donation from the Marine Corps League Eastex Division and so he wanted to be sure the flags went to Marines. These flags were folded by members of his Troop 1045, along with younger cub scouts and friends and families from church. Some were folded by veterans and some by young children. Each one also has a personal written note on the back of the card. Thank you Michael for making a little piece of home to add to the deployed Marines' care packages.

The Eta Xi chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority, as well as, the sisters of Epsilon Kappa Theta at Dartmouth College many of whom come from military families held a care package drive in appreciation of what the troops are doing for us. The drive was very successful (a total of 6 large flat rate boxes were sent in April 2012) filled with the following items: chap-stick, hand-wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, candy, hot chocolate powder, crystal lite powder, jerky, playing cards, UNO cards, pens, paper, envelopes, toilet paper, thank you notes, thank-you banner, batteries and games.
