MarineParents.com Care Package Project in the News
July 27, 2005: A film crew for NBC nightly news attened our packing event on Saturday, June 11, 2005 to begin taping for a special segment NBC aired on July 27. Click here to watch the segment.
Mother's Day, 2005: This is a photo of founder Tracy Della Vecchia, two moms from her home town, and CBS News Correspondent Martha Teichner with her crew in the living room of her home during the taping of a segment for the CBS Sunday News program which aired May 8, Mother's Day, 2004. April 23, 2005: We held a care package drive in Columbia, MO to raise awareness and collect items to send to the Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. We also collected donations for shipping costs. The event was a lot of fun and very successful. Thank you Columbia, MO!

April 22, 2005: Preparing more boxes for shipment to the Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. LCpl Justin O'Brien, recently returned from Iraq, helped with the project in Columbia, MO.

December, 2004:
Greg Green, a volunteer at MarineParents.com and the organizer for the MarineParents.com Care Package Project was featured on the front page of his hometown newspaper as the first care packages started arriving in his office in Texas.
 Sitting in the corner of Greg Green's office is a pile of boxes filled with toothpaste, shaving cream, batteries and other items designed to make the lives of Marines deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan just a little easier.
Although it now represents a modest beginning, Green expects the MarineParents.com Care Package Project, dedicated to the memory of Marine Lance Cpl. Nicholas Larson, will expand quickly during the coming weeks and months.
